Welcome to Fundacja Kloop Media Polska

Fundacja Kloop Media Polska is a Warsaw-based foundation that serves as an exile entity for Kloop, an award-winning independent media outlet from Kyrgyzstan.

Kloop was founded in 2006 with a simple goal — to bring accurate, fair, and independent journalism to Kyrgyzstan. Over time, it grew into one of the country’s most trusted sources of investigative reporting, uncovering corruption and human rights abuses. Through its journalism school, Kloop has also trained hundreds of reporters who now shape the media landscape across the whole region of Central Asia.

Kloop’s dedication to honest reporting has made it a target for the authorities. Since receiving its first death threats from law enforcement in 2010, Kloop has faced ongoing pressure. Repression intensified after the current government took power in 2021.

Despite years of persecution, Kloop continues its work in exile — investigating corruption, reporting on Kyrgyz politics, and publishing independent journalism free from censorship.

Operating in exile comes with high costs. Your support keeps Kloop independent and allows its journalists to keep investigating corruption and publishing stories that are censored inside Kyrgyzstan.
